Monbark is operated by MONBARK LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide a personal finance application that helps users understand their financial runway.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted), or authentication credentials if you sign in with Apple.

Anthropic (Claude): Powers AI features across Monbark. Depending on which features you use, we may send data to Anthropic as follows:
We do not send your name, email, bank login, or account identifiers. Anthropic processes this data only to generate a result and does not use it to train their models. You can turn AI features off in the app; when they are off, no data is sent to Anthropic, and bill categorization uses non-AI logic instead.
All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Business Transfers: If Monbark is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before this happens and your data will remain subject to this policy.

Your bank credentials are never stored by Monbark. We store only an access token provided by Plaid after you authorize the connection.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Transaction data synced from your bank is retained for up to 12 months to power historical insights. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Monbark is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information.
